Biobank of tumor samples, cell lines and monoclonal antibodies
The main goal of Biocollection is to build and expand a collection of different types of samples: cell lines (including three-dimensional ones), primary tumors, transplantable tumor strains and monoclonal antibodies to various targets
Biocollection has the instrumental base for a wide range of research and production tasks, including for internal and external customers:
- work with cell lines and tumor strains;
- production of monoclonal antibodies of the required specificity;
- selection and characterization of clinical samples;
- experiments in mice, including immunodeficient mice;
- generation of various types of 3D models from primary biomaterial (tumor tissue biopsies), transplantable tissue strains, immortalized cell lines or human and animal cell cultures (Research Institute of Human Morphology);
- Molecular genetic characterization of 3D models: assessment of cell composition by flow cytometry, histochemical and immunochemical staining, quantification of gene expression by real-time RT-PCR and of protein production by western blotting (Research Institute of Human Morphology);
- Assessment of cell viability in 3D models after exposure (for example, to cytokines, an antitumor agent or irradiation) using a tetrazolium assay (CCK-8 or similar), Live/Dead kit staining (fluorescence microscopy), staining for a DNA double-strand break marker, staining for a proliferation marker or other specialized methods (Research Institute of Human Morphology).
